Simplicity, style and comfort from their whole house lighting, audio and video distribution system were the order of the day from the owners of “The Wavehouse”, a stunning minimalist seaside property in St. Ives, Cornwall.
Recommended by word of mouth, Christian Dodgson and the team from Clearly Automated, rose to the challenge and proposed a solution that would embed the very latest technology into the property, to provide the ambience and convenience required, without intruding into their clients’ lives.
Managed by our specialist lighting design expert, Clearly Automated planned the installation to enhance the clients’ lifestyle by creating easily controlled bespoke ambiences that work seamlessly with the audio and video solutions. Whether they are entertaining in the impressive open plan kitchen/dining area, or settling down in the media room to watch the latest blockbuster, the clients have complete flexibility to set the mood via iPad controlled lighting, curtains and blinds. Equally effortless is the selection of music to enhance the ambience in the kitchen, the balcony or even when relaxing in the sea-view hot tub. The epitome of a discreet installation, unobtrusive ceiling speakers deliver the audio in the kitchen/diner, waterproof speakers provide the tunes outside, and the media room features an Artisan soundbar as part of a 7.2 channel surround sound system. Dispensing with the usual obtrusive surround speakers, the minimalist interior décor is maintained using invisible plaster-over in-wall speakers. The result is a cinema that makes a statement visually and audibly and proves that the technology does not need to be visible to be make its presence felt.
