Wellbeing Retreat Centre Skipton, Yorkshire
Avalon, nestled on the stunning 3000 acre Broughton Hall Estate in Yorkshire, is a retreat like no other. This unique building was designed by Cirencester based Yiangou Architects with the interior design orchestrated by a well known Opera and Ballet designer. We worked closely with the designers to specify, design and install the discreet technology systems, essential for the smooth running of Avalon.
We were awarded the Judges’ Choice in the Lutron Excellence Awards in 2019 for the complex synchronised automated blind installation in the main studio at Avalon.
This special location was designed to serve the mind, body and spirit, creating the freedom for personal development and the pursuit of the inner voyage. The importance of the building and the way people connect with it and each other during their journey cannot be underestimated.
The sound is a key sense in the Art of Being. On our recommendation, the interior designer chose to deploy Amina invisible speakers throughout Avalon. Invisibility is key in keeping the interior space visually free and uncluttered. A sound that fills the space evenly with quality, calmness and control is of equal importance. Amina delivers all of this with aplomb, supporting and nurturing the beautiful Avalon experience.
In addition to this we installed a full dolby atmos 3m drop down screen and 4k projector in the main studio, allowing the room to be used for a range of purposes from presentations to movie night.
